The Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund Political Action Committee (PAC) has endorsed Judge Maria Lazar for Wisconsin Court of Appeals, District 2. Headquartered in Waukesha, District 2 covers twelve counties in the southeastern corner of Wisconsin: Calumet, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha, and Winnebago counties. The general election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5.

A judicial conservative with a deep commitment to the rule of law, Judge Lazar will adjudicate fairly and impartially and with respect for our Constitutional freedoms. Her belief in the dignity of the human person, devotion to family and community, and fidelity to our federal and state constitutions as written make Judge Maria Lazar the only choice for pro-life voters. Pro-Life Wisconsin is proud to endorse her.

According to Judge Lazar, “We need judges on the bench that issue decisions based upon precedent and principle, not upon activism or personal bias. I base my decisions on the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and our laws to ensure that the rights of citizens remain safe and secure […] ,it is also my duty to make sure that the basic principles and freedoms enshrined in our Constitution will never be violated or infringed by the State or any person.”

Judge Lazar’s broad range of legal experience makes her an excellent candidate for Wisconsin’s appellate court. Elected in 2015 to the Waukesha County Circuit Court, Judge Lazar currently presides over the Juvenile Division and has been a presiding Judge in the Criminal Division. She was a Drug Treatment Court Judge and served for two years in the circuit court’s Civil Division. Judge Lazar also served as a Wisconsin Assistant Attorney General, in the Special Litigation and Appeals Unit. She was President of the Milwaukee Bar Association and a member of its Board of Directors. She served two terms on the State of Wisconsin’s Board of Governors. For about 20 years, her private practice centered on business litigation and bankruptcy law.

Judge Lazar graduated from Mount Mary College with high honors and earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. She resides in Brookfield with her husband Tom, a nature and wildlife photographer. Both are immensely proud parents of their two talented children.

The Victory Fund PAC is urging the citizens of southeast Wisconsin to get out to the polls on Tuesday, April 5, and vote for Judge Maria Lazar for Wisconsin Court of Appeals.
