This afternoon I emailed the attached letters to Federal Legislators against:
- H.R.8500 – “Supreme Court Tenure Establishment and Retirement Modernization (TERM) Act”
and
- S.4681 – “Supreme Court Review Act of 2022”
H.R.8500 will impose term limits on U.S. Supreme Court Justices.
S.4681 will “codify a process for passing new laws in response to Supreme Court decisions that interpret federal statutes or roll back constitutional rights”, as well as “expedited procedures for the Senate to pass these laws by a simple majority”.
Bottomline…..Democrats are pissed-off about recent Supreme Court decisions and are trying to change the Supreme Court so that Democrats can work around the Supreme Court if it doesn’t operate as Democrats want, rather than the Supreme Court operating to protect and uphold the U.S. Constitution as the founders and authors of the U.S. Constitution intended.
I thought you might want to email or send the same or similar letters to Federal Legislators against these bills. Feel free to cut-and-paste, the character count of each letter fits within the limitations imposed by Legislators websites.
