Starting in October 2019, Google’s subsidiary YouTube was deleting videos with phrases that offended the Communist Chinese Party and the Communist Chinese government.
Although YouTube users complained to YouTube for over six months, the firm continued to delete such videos. It did not stop until late May of 2020 and claimed the deletions were a mistake of its systems.
